Working on it...not gonna be flac but not going to be shitty mp3.
Also looks pretty legit, dave said mine looked legit, and yours looks really similar to mine besides the different case for it. It yours over a maxwell cd-r?

edit: looks like the same maxwell cd-r from what I can tell from your photo.

Ha ha, that's great. Weird to see it considered so valuable...

One sneaky thing about that CDR release was that I regenerated the randomness of the text outlines for every label. So every copy is slightly different, if you look really closely at the letters.

INMART = "I Need Medical Attention Records and Tapes" was started to release the extensive but never-heard recordings of notorious local industrial/noise/mental-patient band "Geraldo Made Me Kill" which I was part of on and off through the 90s. We never got around to releasing any GMMK, but I did release "Johnny Tacoma and the Electric Uke" (brutal feedback anarcho-punk ukulele folk-music) and a Mr Slugg collection (local Alien Sex Fiend / Jim Fetus type industrial). Plus this.

I also found this while packing today. A handmade 10 CD Box Set of live Olneyville / Providence shows made by Chris Rabbit. The CD covers and box (upper right corner) are all hand painted and it came with a little booklet of photos and track listings (middle right). There used to be an old website for it,but all I can find is a posting he made about it someplace:

tons of bands and noisicians live in providence and olneyville at the now defunct oak & troy. its basicly 155 bands, 167 tracks, 10 discs, 11.5 hours of music. i hand paint everything, make the boxes, blah blah blah

I think there are 4 or 5 Lightning Bolt live tracks on it.

Hey Kuss and the rest of ya'all nice folks-

I was going to ask this privately, but it has been a while since I posted anything here so I thought I'd share my questions.

I found an old poster today. "Printmaking/ Ceramics Senior Show" at RISD Woods Gerry Gallery, May 13, 1996 (?). This is listed as Chippendale's second gallery show on some old resume/biosketch I have from Gallery Agniel, so I'm pretty sure he had some pieces in the show.

Here's a photo of the print, it is big like 25x36. Sorry about the ramekins, I think this thing has been rolled for a while:

Lightning Bolt played at the Safari Lounge after the art show opening. Also on the bill- Barkley's Barnyard Critters, Necromantix and Wisigoth. Also DJ Mr. Ten Fingers.

Here's some detail:

From what I can find this is a pretty early show, both for LB and for the student/ artists in LB. I'm not sure if LB was a 2 or 3 piece at this point, but it is interesting that the concert after art opening show had both LB and Barkley's Barnyard Critters.

So my questions, here are some of many:

First, who made the poster?
Who designed it?
Who printed it?
Is it 1996 or 1995? The resume says 96, but the graphic on the poster looks like 95, so I want to make sure that this is the show BC was both an artist and performer at, and not something else.

Because I'm curious(ok an impossible completist), what prints did the show include? Any photos?

Was Gibson part of the print/ceramics show?
Was Barkley's Safari performance live or video?

Is Brinkman DJ Mr. Ten Fingers? If not him who?

Are the other bands on the bill all connected to the print/ceramics show somehow?

Was this print in the Wunderground show? (I don't think so, I've looked.) Why wasn't it included?

Was LB a 2 or 3 piece at this point?

How long until I can stop spending all my free time looking for LB related prints?

Finding this ruled my Saturday. Hopefully Kuss can help me out with a little info and I hope you all enjoy this little bit of LB memory lane.

I just asked over twitter the guy, Andrew Kuo who i think might have made it or might know who made it. And i think that is the '99 show, and that i was not in it. Just the yearly show, but someone must have asked us to play the afterparty. DJ ten fingers is def not gibson. Hisham was not in the band in '99. Necromantics was a guy from Black Dice but he's not in BD anymore anyway. I'll see what Andrew says.

1999!
Now it makes sense. Thank you.

It's strange, the whole pile of stuff I found it in was 1985-1995. It literally stopped at '95, so this one is the odd one out. 99 makes much more sense.

Here's a 1997 album cover screened by BC. I think the edition is out of 100, that is what Discogs/ EB says. The album description comes from Expresso Beans.

Obscure Lathe-Cut LP with Brian Chippendale Designed + Screen Printed Cover done at Fort Thunder in 1997 for the Rhode Island band Purple Ivy Shadows.

this Album Cover was based on another Chippendale Design for a Show Poster from the year before. that Show was Dub Narcotic Sound System (Calvin Johnson / Beat Happening) with Purple Ivy Shadows and Satisfact at Jim Draper's Rogue Gallery in Olneyville - Providence, Rhode Island on September 29th 1996.

Chris, one of the Purple Ivy Shadows band members runs What Cheer? I learned about this from him. He might have one for sale.

I scored a copy from ebay a few days ago, I'll trade ya for it since I'm not much of an LP guy and you should own a copy of something you printed.

I've gotta look for an image of the poster for the show at Rogue Gallery, I don't know if I've seen one ever.
